We are currently looking to fill 1 position for a Structured Handler in Liverpool/Baldwinsville. 

The schedule is Monday-Friday daytime hours, typically starting at 830-9am but occasionally starting as early as 7am. Currently this role is about 32 hours per week, but it is expected to grow to 40 hours in the next month or so as our busy pet sitting season gets into full swing. It is our preference that this role occasionally includes some later evening visits or weekend visits to assist with pet sitting visits.

This role is much more involved than a standard dog walking job. We are a training based-company, and Structured Handlers must learn high levels of dog behavior/ training. Handlers learn leash skills using prong collars, e-collars, and slip leads; how to read dog's body language; how to follow specific rules and interact with dogs in a certain way; how to maintain the dog's good behavior and skills, etc. We are seeking someone who is interested in and prepared to learn the complex and involved skill of dog training/professionally managing dog behavior. While a deep affection for animals is a wonderful starting point, it needs to be stressed that this job is much more than that and requires successfully building a comprehensive skill set in dog behavior. All training will be provided on the job.

Role starts at $16.75/hour plus $0.65/mile. This averages to $21+. Employment status is independent contractor.  

Requirements of this role:

*-* 21 years of age or older

*-*-*Has great attention to detail and ability to learn complex dog training skillset

*-*You MUST have your own reliable transportation to get to clients homes, and this cannot be uber/taxi/lyft or walking as visits are spread out several miles each. (snow tires and capable of getting through winter weather on the daily.  

*-*You MUST have a smartphone with GPS and capable of taking photos and running our software 

*-*You MUST be able to pass a background check  

*-*You MUST be physically fit and capable of walking several miles per day. Each 30 minute walk is about 1 mile. These roles are primarily walking/very physical

*-*You MUST be capable of being outside in the cold/rain/snow/heat/wind. We work OUTSIDE daily and must deal with weather of all types and must come prepared with coats, raincoats, boots, hydration, etc.  

*-*You MUST have experience working with dogs or animals in some capacity

We are currently looking to fill multiple positions for Overnight Sitters throughout our service region. 

This role includes sleeping overnight at client's homes with their dogs. The roles are usually 7pm-7am though we can usually flex this to 630p-630a/730p-730 if needed. A typical night in this role looks like: arriving at the clients home, letting dogs out to use the bathroom or a walk in the neighborhood; feeding dogs dinner; spending the evening hanging out with them watching movies or reading, maybe cuddling, maybe playing. Potty breaks as needed throughout the evening. Sleeping overnight (a bed is always provided by our clients, no couches or air mattresses, etc.). Walking the dogs the next morning, feeding them. 

The required hours for overnight sitters are the 12 hour overnight shift 7/7. If you also have daytime availability, we can schedule you for daytime hours as well to maximize your earnings. Some of our sitters like to live-in client's homes during their booking, and some stay overnight, work another day job, and return the next evening.
